Re: starting problem

As above, immobiliser bypass would definitely be high up my list of things to try, they've been known to fail in unexpected ways! :( Is the car on the standard ECU, can you get a fault reader on it? Not all OBD readers will work but I've had some success with a bluetooth reader and the Torque Lite a...

Re: sorting VHPD drivability issues

Hey Klaus, I'm replacing all the vacuum hoses and t-pieces, I wonder do you recall the bore size of the hoses?! I'm nowhere near the Lotus and would like to order them if someone has the knowledge of the correct bore size that would be great so I can get them ordered in time for getting them instal...

Re: Wanted - Genuine S1 Exige Clams

I suppose genuine clams are like the proverbial rocking-horse s**t. A front clam mould was for sale on the 'Lotus Elise and Exige cars and parts For sale' Facebook group recently if that's of any use.

Re: How to guides

Do you have a copy of the service manual? It's available online in PDF form if you search Google for the part number A111T0327J: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=A111T0327J+filetype%3Apdf The Service Parts list is also handy to have, part number B111T0325J. It's a bit harder to find but I've upload...

Thanks for the replies guys
markf I might be interested in your K3 - I'm just trying to work out if it will do adaptive mapping with a wideband lambda controller, or if I'd need the K6 for that

What are the differences between a s1 and a early s2 ( cable , not FBW ) Ecu?
As far as I know they're totally different, the S1 and 340R used an older EFI MT-501 unit similar to that used on the V8 Esprit, they changed them completely for the S2 (also EFI but a 'K4' according to Seloc).

Wanted: Exige S1 190 ECU

Long story but it transpires my S1's ECU has a fault and I'm struggling to find someone to repair it. I'm aware Bluestreak have been mentioned on other threads but they have not been very forthcoming in being able to offer a repair on mine - several phone calls and emails with part numbers and photo...

Re: Show Us Your Engine Cover Props

My S1 has a lightweight, height adjustable, colour-coded version:

It may or may not be the handle from a Wilko telescopic mop, priced around £3.99 ;)
