Re: Wanted - Genuine S1 Exige Clams

I suppose genuine clams are like the proverbial rocking-horse s**t. A front clam mould was for sale on the 'Lotus Elise and Exige cars and parts For sale' Facebook group recently if that's of any use.

Re: How to guides

Do you have a copy of the service manual? It's available online in PDF form if you search Google for the part number A111T0327J: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=A111T0327J+filetype%3Apdf The Service Parts list is also handy to have, part number B111T0325J. It's a bit harder to find but I've upload...

Thanks for the replies guys
markf I might be interested in your K3 - I'm just trying to work out if it will do adaptive mapping with a wideband lambda controller, or if I'd need the K6 for that

What are the differences between a s1 and a early s2 ( cable , not FBW ) Ecu?
As far as I know they're totally different, the S1 and 340R used an older EFI MT-501 unit similar to that used on the V8 Esprit, they changed them completely for the S2 (also EFI but a 'K4' according to Seloc).

Wanted: Exige S1 190 ECU

Long story but it transpires my S1's ECU has a fault and I'm struggling to find someone to repair it. I'm aware Bluestreak have been mentioned on other threads but they have not been very forthcoming in being able to offer a repair on mine - several phone calls and emails with part numbers and photo...

Re: Show Us Your Engine Cover Props

My S1 has a lightweight, height adjustable, colour-coded version:

It may or may not be the handle from a Wilko telescopic mop, priced around £3.99 ;)

Re: Two sub 40k Exige S1 for sale on Pistonheads

There’s now 5x silver S1’s on PH, plenty to choose from...... https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/exige-s1/lotus-exige-16v------------------178/8888308 Well, silver is the best colour ;) Interesting to see what the true 'market value' might be, I guess we'll see if the auction o...

Re: Car no starty

Long shot but check the loom connectors to the injectors are seated properly, one of mine had a habit of vibrating loose causing all sorts of bangs on startup and then running on 3 cylinders. There's a little red square grommet in each connector which are easy to lose.

Absolutely stunning    Must feel great to drive it again. I don't think any Lotus is ever truly 100% finished so don't sweat the small stuff

Full set (very old) S1 Exige Yokohama A039 LTS tyres £FREE

Anyone interested in a full set of original Yokohama A039 LTS tyres (OEM S1 Exige fitment)? They're used, good cosmetic condition with approx 2mm tread left (maybe a tad more on the fronts) but when I say original, I mean it... Date codes are year 2000 (front) & 2007 (rear) so strictly for display o...
