Re: fitting TC to the S1

Nice fix :-) Thanks for that. Just need to speak to DTA to make sure the ecu will be happy with a different no of pulses from front to rear.
Cheers

fitting TC to the S1

Ok, so I'm going to skip my VAG ecu and fit a DTA S80 pro, this will give me the ability to use a quite sophisticated TC option.
No problem fitting rings and sensors on the rear hubs - but the front looks a little more complex - has anyone done it? And if so, HOW???

Thanks Andy - that sounds like a perfectly acceptable plan B! :-)

Where can I get a rear grill like this from?

I presume this grill was made for the motorsport elise? I am currently rebuilding/renovating my S1 exige and I have lots of extra air going into the engine compartment (to cool the intercooler) and I need to get it out again
Anyone know??

Many thanks

Re: VAG sequential box for us 1.8t owners

Maybe I'll just work on getting the shift better (& quicker then).
Does seem a tad expensive for a road car!
Thanks

Re: VAG sequential box for us 1.8t owners

Basic is about £7k, with bells & whistles, £9k.
Just the gearkit alone is £5750 (I think that includes VAT).

VAG sequential box for us 1.8t owners

Has anyone tried this Quaife 5 speed sequential gear set for the 6 speed box? I have no idea how expensive it is but I think it might be a good project for me next year. 6 gears in such a light car with so much power seems a waste to me (4 would be enough!). https://shop.quaife.co.uk/quaife-vw-02m-0...

Do you have any pictures of your dash? I've spoken to Dave (DTT) and he suggested flocking too.
I'll take one tomorrow :-)
