Wouldn't it just be great if your girlfriend loved the car as much as you did, possibly more. So much so she loved doing things like washing & polishing it, painstakingly painting the mesh grills on the front clam just because they just didn't look as good as the new ones one the rear, and bought some new shocks for it because the old ones are just a bit...well...standard?
If only huh...


Now for the serious bit:
Finding the funds to buy a place is tough, you often have to make sacrifices, just make sure they're the right ones. You'll both know what's best. If the car means so much to you (more than a new house means), then she should understand and respect that. If you're forced to sell against your heartfelt will, then there will be resentment for the lass and the new house.

I'd personally be miserable without the exige, even if I had a nice new house - with an empty garage...pah! It's part of my life now that I just cant be without - tried it once and lasted 2 days before I got another lotus!!

wel thats what i mean, i lasted 5 months with out my 111r then got this, and i told her as she already has a house i forgot to say lol she just wants a mortgage lol. i said i will just save but untill then im not living with you lol but at the moment told her think its best to be friends.

SWMBO dislikes the Exige intensely so she almost never gets in it. She'd ideally like me to get rid of it and get something sporty but sensible.

Tough luck. I've worked bloody hard to get it, it's my one weakness, and I don't think it's too much to ask that I have one thing that is personal to me and gives me so much pleasure.

Plus she knows the Exige is my mistress. If that goes then I'm after the two-legged variety instead

I have this to , GF can't understand the car , she's coming round a bit now after a road trip in France in it , she would love me to get a TTS or some other hairdresser car and can't understand paying 44k for a car like an Exige and the attention thing is a problem.
End of the day if she wants to be with you It won't matter what car you drive or it's option A!
