finally got round to registering but im either thick or senile, my chassis no starts sccga117 but survey states 111 anyone able to shed some light?
What are the last 3 digits of yours?

Is it an "Exige bodied" Elise, or had a new chassis at some time?

I though that the 117 code was for S2s?

As far as I know the S2 is still designated as a type 111. The type 117 is the Exige S2 Cup.

This thread is about S1s of course......

OK guys, It's time for me to start doing something with this. People seem reluctant to give too much information though. 79 people have completed the survey but 16 didn't tell me the chassis number - not much use as a registrar's record.

If you haven't yet completed the survey can I remind you:

To pass details about your car to me so that I can get the register up and running please visit SI EXIGE SURVEY
The password to the survey is SCC111

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE THREE PAGES TO THE QUESTIONNAIRE. NOT EVERYONE WHO HAS RESPONDED HAS COMPLETED ALL 3 PAGES. YOU CAN GO BACK AND EDIT YOUR REPOSNSES.

You can edit your data at any time but I'll only collect it once.

Don't forget that Jez is waiting for photos.

Please pass the link (and password) on to others that need to know.

According to 'The Lotus Book' 117 is an elise from 2000 onwards (this will include the Exige as it did for the Series 1).

You may well be right that all S2 Elisess are type 117 (there is some confusion as to exactly what type numbers have been applied to the latest variants) but there is no doubt that S1 Exiges are all type 111. Each and every chassis plate begins SC111.....

S2 Exiges aren't covered by this survey but you are probably correct that S2 Exiges are all designated type 117.
