Which plumbed in fire extinguisher?

After 4 years of rebuilding my S1 I am now looking at plumbed in extinguishers (the thought of it going up in flames after all my hard work really doesn't bare thinking about!!!). Anyone have any recommendations? Powder/gas/foam? Location of bottle up under dash/footwell/by seat? I am happy to have ...

I'd be interested in the intercooler you've removed if you want to sell it!

changing to hall effect sensor for speedo???

Currently fitting TC control to my exige (through a DTA S80 pro ecu) for which I need to attach hall sensors to all hubs. I am wondering whether I can ditch the speedo pickup sensor (2 wire) and feed the stack speedo a 5Vdc signal pulse from the new hall effect sensor? I presume that the AC(?) wave ...

Re: 1.8t water routing (as per Pro Alloy)

Having now studied the pro-alloy setup further; it seems (to me) that there is not a very good thermostat bypass circuit and it looks like the engine will get very hot before the stat opens as not much water is flowing past it. My 1.8t was originally installed (many years ago) by Guglielmi motorspor...

Re: 1.8t water routing (as per Pro Alloy)

Who told you to feed the turbo water into the heater matrix, and boost related heat spikes? The notes above look like a lot of misinformation in my opinion. Please don't take that comment as me being negative or slagging anything off, just trying to help. Just so you know, I raced an Audi powered e...

1.8t water routing (as per Pro Alloy)

Just in the throes of putting the engine back in (after a very expensive rebuild due to brittle baffle flaps in the sump which broke off and blocked the oil pickup!) and I'm looking at the Pro-Alloy's suggested water routing which seems far simpler than my current setup. Anyone using this method? Do...

Re: Can I put my intercooler here?

Provided you have a shroud and air routed to it don't see why not. That's basically where it is on the 211 so would suggest that you seek out some pictures of that install. Thanks yes was going to duct into and out of it. Didn't realise the 211 had it there, will do some research - many thanks :-)
