Re: Timing chain tensioner
I think you will find it’s very common if you do some digging. Only emphasised by the lack of use if it’s been parked for a while like most of them are. If it makes the rattling noise every time you start the car then obviously there is an issue.

Re: Static noise test
Had a similar issue with Roller Barrels on my Caterham R300 at Doni, ended up just shifting up early/part throttle under the start and finish bridge where the meter is hanging from, not the end of the world unless you are against the clock on a track day which you perhaps shouldn't be in all honesty...

Yes, I just hope this gathers momentum as it would be a nice solution. I think Ferrari have already publicly stated that its future is not entirely EV with the development of synthetic fuels, and Porsche ploughing big money into it too with development. Fingers crossed.

Re: 2030 and the EV age will our cars still have a place?
Lots on the web about ICE weekend cars /toys with owners beginning to think about this, and rightly so. Our cars will still be around for many years, you only have to look at the amount of ICE cars that are around in terms of historics, classics and special toys. We will see the run of the mill ICE ...

Re: Radiator recommendations
Cheers for the responses. Just had a quick chat with Gav at Unit 4 and he also recommended at single core Pro Alloy so I’ll go down that route to hopefully “fit and forget”.

Radiator recommendations
Are there any recommendations for which aluminium radiator to purchase? I’ve read the wiki on SELOC which is great, but would be interested to hear individual opinions on what people have, there seems to be multiple items available. It is a road car but predominantly used in the warmer months. My S2...

Certificate of vehicle provenance
This popped up on my Instagram feed yesterday. I gave PJS a call and Lotus are charging £170 for the service with a two-three week turnaround. Nice if you have a limited number car or fancy this sort of thing. https://i.imgur.com/wV3vKAE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oR8f6zB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TK9KYC...

Re: Slightly Random Test Drive
Those Huracan Performante sound absolutely nuts. I don’t think you can drive them quietly even when going slowly on part throttle. But when giving it the beans, oh my! they will genuinely here you coming from the next village.
