Wow -what a coincidence then - it was defo a bio - he said it was a real Lotus test car / development car . He had a massive shunt in it on a track day years back and rebuilt it pretty much from scratch , from what it sounded like ... Im guessing when i saw him it must have been 2017 / 18 ? I'm not ...

Hi Gents - suggest checking the crank sensor as well - I do have a working 177bhp you can borrow - im sure we can come to an arrangment . I had similiar problems and thought it was my ECU ... engine ran fine with it albeit at 177 instead of alleged 190, The crank sensor was the culprit. I live in Su...

Hi Gents- been a while - 2 years ? and i can see this January - May i suggest looking at the low tension circuit in the boot . there is a little black connector on the left of the engine that feeds the Coil . I have had one instnace where it worked itself loose .. the engine cut, all else seemed goo...

I tried all the suggestions... you want to here it ?

replace the crankshaft sensor , i had exactly the same problem, at 5500.... £15 fix from ebay and rover k series sensor will do it and 20 mins labour...
