Re: OEM Lotus HT Leads

Hi, I think they're bespoke to the Exige/340R due to the way they fit the Rover cam cover. Magnecor do several sets:- 7mm Core black leads currently only £70ish at the Tweeks https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/magnecor-7mm-performance-ignition-leads-black-mnc47312 8mm Core blue leads £85 https://www.sp...

Re: Motorsport Elise questions

Could the one you saw possibly have been Rex Stamps old racer?

Re: Pilbeam

I've tried some of the Eliseparts S1 OEM spec hubs and they're the most adaptable for allsorts of caliper and disc sizes depending on a range of spacers and brackets they also sell. I had their some of their early S1 GT hubs quite a while back as the larger bearings and 16mm rideheight drop etc appe...

Re: Pilbeam

The full uprights/hubs will give you a 40mm ride height drop but are really S2 spec with regard to wheel offsets etc, meaning a change of wheels is required to fit any S1. You'd also have to have the brake kit with the uprights as neither bells or calipers carry over, discs might depending on what s...

Re: Pilbeam

I've had some of their components on my Sport Elise since 2004 and I'm yet to wear anything out or have any component failures, which I think for something that spends it's life on slicks/wets in 20-25 minute races is very impressive.

Is there anything in particular you want to ask about?

Re: Elise S1 Sport 160

Wes, I had one of the WVTA versions before I got my Exige. Quite simply it was the most enjoyable car I've ever owned and easily the one I will always regret selling the most. It was bought by a Vicar from Stamford who raced Caterhams! 8-) Best of luck with the sale and the house move. (But I secret...

Re: Winter Project

That's a great pic Gav!

...though for most folk who see one, it's usually everything else in full focus and the Exige is a blur.

Re: VHPD spark plugs

Hi Winthatt, The standard plugs are BKR7E (iridium version is BKR7EIX) which show as having a 16mm hex but the BPRs you've been recommnded are a 21mm hex, otherwise both have the same 14mm thread and 19mm reach. Would a 21mm spark plug socket even fit down the hole? Whichever you end up using, and e...
