Massive thanks to you of course George, great help and inspiration.

This thread looked better before photobucket screwed it up, did you manage to restore the images on yours?

I had a couple of days to give it a good clean before hibernation, it really is one shiny car inside and out. I took the opportunity to finally clean the underside of the chassis, this was always a job I wanted to do last but enough was enough. I even stuck on new jacking stickers, yep properly went to town :D

I finally got around to fitting the alternator cooling hose which only required a couple of cable ties and a little bit of metal work fabrication of an aluminium bracket. Quite straightforward really. Oh and I also bought a dehumidifier.

As it stands I'll have it shipped back off to Gav early new year to rectify the oil leaks, both minor. Fairly sure since nipping up the bolts on the oil pump that one is sorted. The gearbox is but a tiny seal which can be done on the hoist. I covered 400 mile to run it in, not sure that's enough but the oil has been changed and Gav gave it the once over. Only other thing is maybe the offside rear bearing needs changing, no real drama but we found a deposit of grease around the hub that may have come from it.

Thanks to the Cakes btw for letting me nose around his beauty while at Gav's to see how and where the cooling pipe is fitted.

Lol well after I sell it in the New Year and buy something else I'll be glad of the break. Probably ;)

TBH I'm going to struggle to make that car dirty, I want to but I just can't bring myself to be the one to make it less than what it currently is, if you know what I mean. That is the problem. I fancy a driver, not a trophy. I love it but I'm not 100% I may keep it. Having said that, it is great to look at. Literally stare for ages if I'm honest, I'm really proud but it may be time to move on.

Why not just enjoy it for a year or two before getting a great price for what is and still would be a stunning car? No point letting someone else have all the fun.

A truly beautiful thing. So, how much have you spent on it in total Jonny?

Oh, no, Jonny. Don’t even think of selling it. You deserve to enjoy it, at lest for a few years as Tim says.
We all need to drool over it in the flesh, too, before you dare part with it
