Quick strip down and I can report that its just the pad moving gently up and down thats clattering

Update of the update.

Its now squeaking. I think its touching the disc.

I preferred the clattering. Will take out and reseat ( again ) during this week

You've probably already seen these, but worth posting here just incase you haven't:

I used them and they helped enormously with my noisy brakes, when paired with the normal anti-rattle buffers as described earlier :)

I dont think its the pads rattling any longer. I think the pistons are just covered in crap TBH and need cleaning. Ill whip out the pads and the calipers and clean. I just took the pads out and back in again previously.
